About Peter

Peter Willis is a long time resident of Franklin, Massachusetts who has overcome many challenges in his life.  He was born with Global Developmental Delays, later diagnosed with a rare syndrome called Lujan Fryns. He was non verbal until about 10 years old.  He mostly communicated with sign spoken English which he learned in a Language Access Program At The Learning Center for the Deaf in Massachusetts.  Peter’s interest in photography began during his sophomore year at Franklin High School and quickly developed a true passion for this field.  As an avid sports fan, he loved to attend the high school sporting events and he began taking photos to capture the students excitement in the game.  He earned his Certificate of Completion at Franklin High in 2011.

His enthusiasm for photography led him to intern at a local photography studio where he assisted the owner on photo shoots and learned more about the composition and lighting of a good photograph.  He now works part-time at the studio, assist on photo shoots, managing orders, and honing his photography talents.

In addition to capturing the moment at sporting events, Peter has experience photographing special events, real estate and local businesses and he has also done student portraits.  His current passion is photographing nature, such as landscapes in Maine and on Cape Cod. Beach scenes and lighthouses are two of his favorite images to capture.  These photographs remind him of some of his favorite times and vacations.
